About the Club

• During their rich history, Tottenham Hotspur has been renowned for their success in cup competitions, winning numerous trophies including 8 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, and 2 UEFA Cups.
• The club was founded in 1882 as Hotspur, later changing to Tottenham Hotspur to avoid confusion.
• They gained popularity in the Southern League and won their first FA Cup in 1901.
• The post-WWII era saw a resurgence under the “push and run” style, leading to a League title in 1951.
• The legendary Bill Nicholson's tenure brought further success with multiple trophies. After Nicholson's departure, Tottenham faced relegation but bounced back with an FA Cup win in 1981 and a UEFA Cup victory in 1983.
