About the Club

• Real Madrid, in full Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, byname Los Blancos (Spanish: “the White”) due to the all-white uniforms, is one of the world’s best-known teams, with fans in many countries.

• Real Madrid grew out of Football Club Sky, a team formed in Madrid in 1897. On March 6, 1902, the Madrid Football Club was officially founded by a group of fans.

• After the war, Santiago Bernabéu Yeste took over the presidency of the club and started building a brand-new stadium, which will bear his name and become the official stadium of Real Madrid.

• Real has won a total over 10 Champions League titles, more than any other team and more than 30 Liga, more than any other Spanish teams.
